From that era onward, the Buescher name became their student line. The registration number implies 1917 activity. 1918 Elkhart Band Instrument Company in the trades 1919 September, Elkhart Band Instrument Company incorporated by CD Greenleaf and AH Beardsley.
What I do have is: 1916 CD Greenleaf & AH Beardsley lead a consortium to buy Buescher. I am finding very little on Elkhart Band Instruments. Historical evidence had been critical in the development of the Pan American Brass and Sax serial number systems now posted on the Conn Loyalist Historical information has helped with Cavalier, but there is much less.
I currently have EBIC 110 brass serial numbers, 78 Elkhart By Buescher Serial numbers and a host of possible stencils. Also, since FA Buescher started it, ART/Pedler & Sons, I am trying to establish a serial number system for that company as well. I am still working on the Cavalier serial number dating system (separate thread), but have now expanded to try for a serial number system for Elkhart Band Instrument Company (EBIC).
